LEIGH PEGUES

Board Member

Leigh Pegues was elected to the Board of Directors in November 2019. Pegues retired from commercial banking after a career that spanned more than four decades with regional banks. Over the years, he managed and delivered commercial banking and real estate services across many industries and was highly skilled at developing relationships with his diverse customer base. In addition to his banking career, Pegues had a 12-year career in the U.S. Army Reserve and advanced to the rank of captain. He is a past president of the Alabama Young Bankers and American Institute of Banking, Birmingham, Alabama, and has served on a number of non-profit boards including the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce, Girls Inc. of Birmingham, and Cove United Methodist Church. Currently, he serves on the board of a local plastics company. Pegues holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Banking & Finance from the University of Alabama and a Master of Business Administration degree from Samford University.
