Design and Preconstruction Manager

Jack Shimer serves as Design and Preconstruction Manager for Freedom Real Estate & Capital, LLC. His responsibilities include design management, estimating, and procurement. He has been responsible for well over $1.4 Billion in Design and Preconstruction Management on projects ranging from commercial office, aerospace, and defense to sports stadiums and higher education. Jack has extensive experience in secure project requirements including sensitive compartmented information facilities (SCIF).

With over 25 years in construction, he has unmatched experience when it comes to managing the design for a budget to deliver project success. He worked for the nation’s largest Construction Manager gaining experience across all major market segments for over 13 years prior to recently joining Freedom Real Estate & Capital, LLC.

In the Community, Jack has served on the American Heart Association Huntsville Heart Walk steering committee. He has also volunteered with United Way and CASA.

He graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction. He earned his accreditation by the U.S. Green Building Council as a LEED Accredited Professional Building Design + Construction (LEED AP BD+C).
