Building Engineer

Warren Steber joined Freedom Real Estate & Capital in October of 2017, as the Building Maintenance Engineer. Mr. Steber monitors and operates building systems to ensure proper and efficient functionality, and performs all routine and preventative maintenance, repairs, and installation, with regard to HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, for properties within the portfolio. Additionally, he intensely oversees contracted services to ensure all are being performed in accordance with our active contracts. Mr. Steber schedules and coordinates on-site visits with maintenance support contract companies, and acts as a liaison between our tenants and contractors.

Prior to joining the Freedom team, Mr. Steber had attained more than 15 years of experience in the commercial property maintenance industry. He served as a lead maintenance technician within the Madison County Commission and was assigned to the public safety complex for seven years. His area of responsibility covered all systems associated with the complex, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, elevator operation, doors, and locking mechanisms, as well as, coordination of support contractor activities, and oversight of maintenance supplies and inventory. In addition, Mr. Steber spent several years in the commercial elevator industry as a mechanical technician. He holds numerous certifications in the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and lock trades.

Mr. Steber studied at Southern Union Community College, attended J. F. Drake Technical College for HVAC training, and completed multiple training courses through the National Elevator Industry Education Program. His volunteer work includes assisting elderly residents with home and lawn care, participating in community clean-up efforts, and serving as a volunteer firefighter.
